School Meals

Autumn Term  2020    Food at Beaufront First School

Our healthy and delicious school lunches are prepared by chef Mr. Simon Hicks and assistant Mrs. Shirley Byerley.

They are cooked and prepared in our school kitchen from fresh ingredients. “Homemade” sourdough bread is a regular feature as are delicious and healthy cakes which are baked by Simon on site.


We have one option for each day on the menu. We also provide a vegetarian option for those children whose parents have notified us of this preference. We are, of course, responsive to any special dietary needs that your child may have especially in regard to food allergies and intolerances.


The menus below shows the main items on offer.

 It is supplemented by fresh and frozen vegetables and salad ingredients according to availability, freshness and taste. The dessert courses are similarly garnished by small amounts of varied fresh fruits.


Our passion is to provide the children with a healthy and varied meal but also to increase the range of tastes, textures and foods that your child is willing to try.


The menu may vary from the published scheme due to availability of ingredients or if our chef is able to take advantage of different or better ingredients.


In the current Covid-19 situation we would strongly prefer that your child takes a school lunch in order to reduce things being brought into school from home.

Where children are “fussy eaters” we will work closely with you to try to encourage your child to enjoy the meals on offer.
