Admissions Arrangements

Admissions at Beaufront First School are managed by the Local Authority (Northumberland County Council). The Governors adhere to following the Northumberland admissions guidance. For information regarding all school admissions (Reception to Year 4), please follow the link below.

School Admissions, Places & Appeals in Northumberland

Children are normally admitted to Beaufront First School in the September of the academic year in which they are five. The school’s standard number for entry into Reception is 15.

Any parents wishing to visit the school prior to applying for a place are very welcome. Please contact the school office on 01434 602 903 to arrange this.

Children who attend Beaufront First School usually transfer at the age of 9 and above to Hexham Middle School,  St. Joseph's Middle School or Corbridge Middle School and then at the age of 13 and above to Queen Elizabeth High School, Hexham. A common application form for transfer is completed in the Autumn term prior to transition to the Middle School.
